Sometimes a child comes from a poor neighbourhood, but attends a school where most children come from wealthier families. Isn’t this child eligible for a grocery card?
The programme targets schools first where most of the pupils belong to the group most in need of help. Unfortunately, if the school cannot make use of this programme, children or their parents/caregivers cannot receive a grocery card.
