Frequently asked questions

What if a child comes from a poor family and attends a school where most of the children come from wealthier families? Would they not be allowed to participate in the programme?

The programme targets schools first where most of the pupils belong to the group most in need of help. Schools are eligible if at least 30 percent of their students come from low-income households. Unfortunately, if the school cannot make use of this programme, children or their parents/caregivers cannot receive a grocery card.
