Frequently asked questions
What does the School Meals Programme entail?
Good food helps children learn better. This way, they can develop the best. Unfortunately, not all students have enough food at home. With the School Meals Programme, schools can help their students. Schools can choose how they want to do this:
- Food at school: All students get a meal at school. There are different ways to organise this. The school chooses the best way for them.
- Grocery card: Parents/caregivers get direct support. They get a grocery card to buy food for their children who go to school. This card can be used in most supermarkets, market stalls, bakeries, and shops.
